Using Evaluation to Increase Program Effectiveness

Using Evaluation to Increase Program Effectiveness and Financial Resources

In these times of intense competition for scarce resources, government agencies and foundations want to know their support is spent wisely, and that identified goals are being achieved. Furthermore, evaluation can be a critical source of information for improved management and midcourse correction. This workshop will introduce you to the underlying concepts, issues, and approaches to program development and evaluation. You will learn to incorporate an evaluation perspective into your program planning, grant development, and decision-making processes. In addition, the issue of hiring and managing outside evaluators will be discussed.

This workshop is limited to 24 participants. Register now to secure your spot.

Date: Monday, November 17, 2008, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. A light breakfast will be served from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m., and the program begins promptly at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will also be served.
