Ron Cohen, M.D., is president, CEO, and founder of Acorda Therapeutics, Inc., a public biotechnology company that develops therapies for spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and other central nervous system disorders. A leader in the biotech community, Dr. Cohen serves as a member of the board executive committee of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), the leading trade group representing the biotech industry. As one of the first biotech companies to locate to Westchester, Acorda has contributed to building a vibrant biotechnology corridor in the area.
