Families Division

The Families Division, as part of Manhattan Women’s Philanthropy, brings together families with young children in the community. Our programs for families and couples are designed to let you participate in philanthropic, educational, and volunteer events together. We offer an exciting range of programs and events for families with children from birth to school age with unique ways to integrate Jewish values and philanthropy.

Women’s Engagement

Take part in meaningful and engaging programs with other moms in your community. Our enriching programs range from educational to cultural and social.

Cooking Series

Celebrate the art of cooking focused on adding meaning to Shabbat dinner and other major Jewish feasts.

Lecture Series

Join other parents for a series of stimulating parenting lectures.

Couples Engagement

We invite couples to get together and build community while learning about the importance of our mission. We offer enriching evening events for couples, including educational, philanthropic, and social opportunities. These programs are a chance for couples to bond while connecting with UJA-Federation of New York's work.

Families Engagement

Through the Meaningful Mitzvah program, feel connected to the Jewish Board of Family and Children Services (JBFCS), a UJA-Federation beneficiary agency, through a yearlong partnership that includes collections, a pen pal program, and various other interactive opportunities.

• Collections — Along with your children, take part in special opportunities to help the Jewish Board of Family and Children's services collect needed supplies.
• Weekend Mitzvah — Join together with other families from the Marks JCH for fun family weekend activities.

Mitzvah Mommy & Me

Join other moms and their young children to welcome in Shabbat with the elderly in our communities.

Child-Driven Fundraiser

Teach your children the importance of giving back through a fun and exciting day of games and sports competitions. Your children will have the opportunity to raise money and allocate the funds to a program of their choice. For children of bar or bat mitzvah age, learn more about Give a Mitzvah–Do a Mitzvah.

Family Fun Day

Family Fun Day is the Families Division's annual communitywide event — held at Chelsea Piers, this day features games, prizes, kid-friendly shows, and much more.

Hands-on Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteer programs are a fun, welcoming way to show your family the importance of volunteering and giving back to the community. Our hands-on opportunities help make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
