If you’ve been looking for a chance to learn more about Judaism and Jewish texts, there’s a perfect opportunity just around the corner. On Sunday, November 13, 2011, Jews in New York and all over the world, including places as remote as India, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, and China, will be coming together for the second annual Global Day of Jewish Learning, which is supported by UJA-Federation of New York as part of its goal to celebrate and provide opportunities for Jewish learning.

In New York City, Mechon Hadar is going to be hosting a slew of classes from 1:00 – 5:30 p.m., in their building at 190 Amsterdam Avenue. The classes will feature the teachings of many rabbis and educators including Rabbi Michael Paley, UJA-Federation’s Pearl and Ira Meyer Scholar in Residence at the Jewish Resource Center.

A full class schedule for Global Day of Jewish Learning can be seen on the Mechon Hadar website.
