Hillels Connect and Inspire

Students going to college are at a pivotal stage in building their identities, including their connection to Judaism and the Jewish world. UJA-Federation helps fund the work of a dozen campus Hillels in the New York area. These Hillels offer intense outreach and programming that ranges from holiday and Shabbat events to community service and social activities. "We aim to inspire every Jewish student to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life," says Wayne Firestone, president of Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, a UJA-Federation beneficiary agency.
