Women’s Philanthropy Bridge Tournament

Lion of Judah is a special society representing generous Jewish women who make a great commitment to philanthropy by reaching specific annual giving levels.

The Lion of Judah symbolized strength, honor, and dedication for the Tribe of Judah, the dominant tribe of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, and it continues to reflect those values today. Women who are Lions of Judah are leading their peers through generosity, strength, and vision.

A woman making an annual individual contribution of $6,000 or more to UJA-Federation of New York joins this elite group. She is eligible to wear a Lion of Judah pin — the recognized jewel-inset 14-karat gold lion. As a woman’s contribution grows, a precious gem can be placed as an inset in the lion’s eye.
