Two Agencies — Helping In So Many Ways

Narrated by social workers from Met Council on Jewish Poverty and the Samuel Field Y, this video illustrates how two agencies are helping people facing serious challenges, including autism, homelessness, and poverty.

Communal Archives Project
The Milstein Family Communal Archives Project, is a collaborative effort to chronicle the Jewish experience in 20th Century New York City, as reflected in the archives of five UJA-Federation of New York beneficiary agencies: 92nd Street Y, The Educational Alliance, F•E•G•S Health and Human Services System, NYANA (New York Association for New Americans), and Surprise Lake Camp.

UJA-Federation of New York supports more than 100 beneficiary agencies in our network of camps, community centers, human-service agencies, medical and geriatric centers, educational organizations, and local community councils that enrich the lives of everyone.

These agencies are on the front lines. And our support helps strengthen them so they can care for those in need, inspire and engage multiple generations of Jews, and nurture identity among Jews in New York, in Israel, and around the world.

By strengthening individual agencies, we also strengthen the collective power of our unmatched network. Together with our beneficiary agencies, we work to sustain the Jewish community, in times of crisis or opportunity.
