Offering Jewish spiritual and pastoral care

The end of life can be filled with meaning, caring, and spiritual connection. If you or a loved one face a terminal illness or are coping with bereavement issues from a recent loss, F.E.G.S. Health and Human Services System can help.

As Long Island's Regional Care Center for The Jewish Healing and Hospice Alliance, F.E.G.S. provides meaningful services in a supportive Jewish environment and connects you to a vast network of resources on Long Island. Working in cooperation with synagogues and a network of community organizations, F.E.G.S.'s Partners in Dignity provides:

  • Care management, including information, resources, referrals, entitlements counseling, connections to emergency assistance, and advocacy for timely and appropriate care
  • Community education on the multiple options for those coping with end-of-life care
  • Bereavement and pastoral care counseling
  • Training for professionals
  • End-of-life resources for clergy and medical professionals
  • Volunteer opportunities
