Presentation Skills

This workshop is designed for professionals with public-speaking experience who are interested in improving their skills in off-the-cuff presentations and learning the essential elements of an effective formal speech.

Through speaking exercises and professional and peer feedback, you'll learn techniques for:

  • Thinking and speaking on your feet
  • Easing your stress before and during speaking
  • Improving eye contact and body language
  • Structuring and delivering a formal speech

Come to this workshop with a topic in mind, and you will begin to develop your speech and present short segments.

Instructor
Amy Goldberg has been a presentation-skills coach and trainer for 16 years. Her clients include senior management at The New York Times, The Phoenix Companies, United Jewish Communities, UJA-Federation of New York, and Merrill Lynch. Amy has an extensive background in radio and television, beginning as a producer at WMCA, the first all-talk radio station in the country; later at WCBS-FM as the public affairs director; and at WNBC TV. In 1984, Amy became the first New York regional director for AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee).
