UJA-Federation of New York Honors Andrew Lack, CEO Of Bloomberg Media Group, At Broadcast, Cable & Film Annual Event

New York (March 1, 2013) - UJA-Federation of New York’s Broadcast, Cable & Film Division will honor Andrew Lack, CEO of Bloomberg Media Group, at its Broadcast, Cable & Film annual event on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at The Edison Ballroom in Manhattan.
Matt Lauer will emcee the event and Katie Couric will present Lack with his award. The event will feature a special musical performance by Tony Bennett.
Andrew Lack joined Bloomberg in 2008 as CEO of its Global Media Group, where he is responsible for the company’s expanding television, Internet, mobile, radio, and consumer print operations. Prior to his role at Bloomberg, Lack was Chairman and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment. There, he led the company’s roster of major international artists and vast catalog of recorded music from around the world. Lack has also held the positions of president and COO of NBC, president of NBC News, and executive producer at CBS News. A winner of 16 Emmy® Awards and four Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards, Lack continues to be a leader in the broadcast industry.

Dolan of IMG Worldwide, Inc.; Patricia Fili-Krushel of NBCUniversal News Group; Sheila Nevins of HBO; Charlie Rose of CBS News, PBS, and Bloomberg Television; Ben Sherwood of ABC News; and David Zaslav of Discovery Communications.
UJA-Federation of New York’s Broadcast, Cable & Film Division brings together professionals working in the industry who are committed to their careers and passionate about philanthropy. Each year, the Division honors a professional in the field of media for his or her philanthropic leadership and service to the New York Jewish community.
Funds raised will go to UJA-Federation of New York’s annual campaign that helps sustain a network of nearly 100 health and human-service agencies in New York, in Israel, and around the world.
