The Byron Preiss Children's Fund

The Byron Preiss Children’s Fund, an initiative of UJA-Federation’s Publishing Division, was established to enhance children’s lives with educational services that benefit children of all backgrounds in New York, in Israel, and around the world. Byron Preiss understood that through education, children develop a sense of cultural identity and self-esteem.

Over the past five years, The Byron Preiss Children’s Fund has directly benefited thousands of children of all ages and backgrounds in New York and overseas. Many of these young people have had special needs and learning differences. Others had recently arrived in a new country and needed a helping hand learning another language and culture.

The programs supported by the Byron Preiss Children’s Fund welcomed these children into enriching, interactive environments, encouraging them to reach their educational and social abilities, while facilitating Byron’s dream of making literacy and education a top priority for all children.
