If you have recently transitioned from front line to manager, or are supervising staff for the first time, this intensive two-session workshop will offer the key supervisory skills you need to manage and empower your staff. You'll learn to set clear goals and tackle the challenges of determining what to delegate and how to do it effectively. We'll also cover the difference between coaching and counseling, and how to use coaching to help employees reach their optimal performance. Additional supervisory skills will include:
- Helping your team work effectively toward common goals
- Managing extraordinary service or program delivery
- Creating and managing a collaborative environment
The workshop will include interactive exercises, problem solving, and self-assessment in areas of communication skills, decision making, and management effectiveness. Whether you need to learn about confidence, communication, or managing up, you'll identify specific areas of challenge and put together an action plan with deliverables between the first and second session.
