Make a Difference and Make Friends!

Over the course of four service learning days throughout the school year, volunteer with friends — both old and new — and get to know the Jewish community in New York. Your group will meet new people, hear from community leaders, and learn how great it is to make a difference in the world. To register for each event, please contact Lindsay Smith at 212.836.1810 or

We welcome all seventh- and eighth-graders who have completed their bar or bat mitzvah within the past year.

• Piers With Peers — Sunday, February 5, 2012
  Bowl at Chelsea Piers with other Jewish teens from the Jewish Community Council of Canarsie.
• Hamantaschen for Heroes — Thursday, March 1, 2012
  Prepare Purim care packages for Israeli soldiers.
• Spring Into Summer Camp — Sunday, April 22, 2012
  Join teens ages 13 to 17 from all across New York in a communitywide day of service at Eden Village Camp in Putnam Valley, New York.
• Cemetery Cleanup — Sunday, May 6, 2012
  Help clean and landscape a Jewish cemetery.
