Supporting Jewish Community Centers

Jewish community centers are an important source of Jewish life and learning in many of our communities.

UJA-Federation of New York supports Jewish community centers in a variety of ways, including through programs that provide participants with an opportunity to learn about Jewish values, heritage, and culture. In these pluralistic and diverse settings, we’re enriching the well-being of individuals and families at virtually every stage of life, from prenatal classes to senior programs.

In just the last year, UJA-Federation helped provide:

  • 1.4 million people in the greater New York area with cultural, educational, fitness, and Jewish studies programs at 24 local Jewish community centers.
  • 380,000 Israelis with Jewish educational, cultural, and religious programs at 103 community centers around the country.
  • Jewish athletes from all over the East Coast with a place to participate in the annual JCC Maccabi Games.
