Help better the life of a child. Provide friendship and exposure to educational and recreational activities to children whose families are connected to services with JBFCS. Volunteers must be 21 years of age. "Bigs" are role models who provide consistency, trust, and support. Matches are carefully made to ensure that the interests and needs of "bigs" and "littles" are compatible. A one-year commitment of two weekend afternoons per month is required, and volunteers receive ongoing support and supervision by social work staff. Big Brothers are especially needed.
