Job-Readiness Mentor

F•E•G•S Health and Human Services System seeks volunteers to provide one-on-one job-readiness mentoring to unemployed individuals. Mentors will assist with writing resumes and cover letters, searching for jobs online, e-mail correspondence, and managing online applications. Tasks may also include conducting mock interviews, as well as teaching mentees to manage their interview appointments and follow up with prospective employers by sending thank you notes and returning calls.

Many of the program's clients have a limited educational background and seek entry-level positions in retail, health care, maintenance, security, and other industries.
