Building an Outstanding Volunteer Program: A Three-Session Certificate Program

This program offers a series of lecturettes, interactive engagements, and individual assignments to help you learn the essential components of creating an outstanding volunteer-development program. Through this course, you will:

  • Understand the value of volunteers to your organization, and the value of your organization to volunteers
  • Learn the essential ingredients of a successful volunteer-resource program
  • Explore the creation of an organizational climate that promotes volunteerism
  • Identify important trends in volunteerism
  • Acquire new strategies for program implementation
  • Discuss measures of success
  • Address your burning issues in a safe and supportive environment

In addition, assignments between sessions will help you either create the foundation for building a new volunteer-development program or look in depth at a specific area in need of improvement in an existing volunteer-development program.
