An Advanced Social Media Workshop
For professionals familiar with all aspects of social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail marketing.
This workshop focuses on your organizational needs. Participants will develop social media strategies around several real-world cases selected from among those submitted by workshop participants prior to the workshop. The day begins with an overview of PresenTense's transmedia theory, and then transitions into campaign building that leverages the full array of social media and community-organizing tools to better achieve the following goals:
- Build committed and invested community
- Gain broader exposure across relevant social networks
- Effectively deploy the many tools in the digital age toolkit
- Effectively manage and track brand online
- Better garner and leverage volunteers

Instructor
Aharon Horwitz is co-founder and co-director of the PresenTense Group and co-founder of the PresenTense Institute for socially minded entrepreneurs. Aharon has founded and directed initiatives in technology and community, such as MavenHaven, and in student programming, such as the Azure Student Journals Project. Familiar with both Jewish communal and human-service organizations, Aharon consults regularly on strategic planning, innovative marketing, transmedia communications strategies, and student programming. Aharon studied political science and Arabic at Columbia University, and he volunteers for the Jerusalem-based social-justice organizations B'Maaglei Tzedek and ATZUM's Task Force on Human Trafficking, and is a recipient of the World Zionist Organization's Herzl Prize and the AVI CHAI Foundation Entrepreneur Fellowship.
