This workshop provides a practical framework for creating a compelling case for giving, making the appointment, determining the right solicitor for the right person, sharing your passion, asking the right questions, and, most important, listening, listening, listening. In a safe, small group setting, you'll begin to practice your solicitation skills.

Elissa Maier, director of education and leadership development at the Jewish Federations of North America's Mandel Center for Leadership Excellence, has devoted more than 20 years of her career to raising support for Jewish causes. She has served in a number of senior development positions for the Jewish Theological Seminary's New Jersey regional office, Hillel of New York, and the American Technion Society. In a volunteer capacity, Elissa is the immediate past president of the Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County Board of Trustees.
