Jewish Learning Series
The Entertainment, Media & Communications Jewish Learning Series, explores the stories of Jewish history. Join leaders of the entertainment, media, and communications industries for this enriching, enlightening, and thought-provoking series. This ongoing program meets twice a month and is intended for donors of $1,000 or more to UJA-Federation of New York’s annual campaign.
Take a more active role at UJA-Federation of New York by learning firsthand about the internal workings of our beneficiary agencies or oversight committees. Each "observer" in the program is placed with an agency or internal UJA-Federation commission for one year. During that time, observers attend all board or committee meetings as nonvoting members, and learn about fundamental principles and functions of nonprofit boards, the roles of board members, fiscal processes, and other governance priorities. Observers must be stakeholders in UJA-Federation with a gift of $1,000 or more to the annual campaign.
Young Entertainment, Media & Communications Executive Committee
The Young Entertainment, Media & Communications Executive Committee offers young entertainment professionals who have been involved with the division for at least one year a chance to make a deeper commitment. Executive Committee members create a rich UJA experience for themselves and others by developing and overseeing meaningful and fun industry events and volunteer activities, all with the purpose of engaging young entertainment professionals and gaining fundraising support for UJA-Federation of New York. Committee members make a donation of $1,200 or more to UJA-Federation’s annual campaign.
