This seminar will empower participants with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools needed to navigate the philanthropic sector with a special focus on foundations. The seminar will introduce participants to foundational concepts in philanthropy and its ecosystem and enhance their ability to forge meaningful relationships with funding partners. We'll explore different philanthropic strategies and how funders understand their role in driving change, engaging in interactive exercises, role-plays, and discussions to gain a deeper understanding of funder priorities and create meaningful connections.

Molly directs this family foundation, whose mission is to seek lasting solutions to homelessness and an equitable criminal legal system. She also manages a consulting practice and works closely with individual donors and foundations to provide guidance on grantmaking, next generation engagement, and leadership transitions; governance assessment and redesign; and organizational development. 

Molly is the treasurer of the Board of Directors of the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy (NCRP), which promotes accountability and the highest standards of integrity and openness within the sector. She serves as the chair of the Board of JustFund, the only nonprofit grantmaking solution created by funders and organizers of color. Molly is an adjunct assistant professor of public service at New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and part-time faculty at The New School's Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy. In 2023, she was appointed to the U.K-based National Centre for Social Research International Advisory Board, which guides the Centre’s social research expertise with a global outlook.
