Our annual UJAPride celebration is a special one this year. First, join a live recording of the popular podcast And Here’s Modi, hosted by popular comedian Modi with special guest Omer Shem Tov, one of the former Israeli hostages  who Modi has long called a “dream guest” of his. Then, we’ll enjoy a post-reception celebration featuring drinks and delicious bites (with a special appearance by Modi, too), and where we’ll toast our community’s impact on UJA’s powerful work.

Don’t miss this unique celebration of our UJAPride values, just before Pride Month kicks off on June 1, and the power of faith, resilience, and humor to get through dark times. You’ll also learn about UJA's support of the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, and how we’ve been relentless in our efforts to free all of the hostages and support their families.

Featuring

Modi Rosenfeld

Voted one of the top 10 comedians in New York City by The Hollywood Reporter, Modi is one of the comedy circuit’s most sought-after performers. A former investment banker whose first open-mic night made him realize that stand-up was his true calling, Modi has gone on to become a successful fixture in New York's vibrant comedy scene and headlines around the country and across the globe. His comedy often incorporates his Jewish heritage.

Omer Shem Tov

Omer Shem Tov, 22, was taken hostage by Hamas from the Nova music festival on October 7 and survived 505 days in captivity, much of it isolated and alone. His parents, Shelly and Malki Shem Tov, founded the Hostages and Missing Families Forum just 24 hours after he was kidnapped. For almost 18 months, they advocated, lobbied, campaigned, marched, protested, and prayed, leaving no stone unturned in the efforts to bring their son home. They remain committed to fighting for the release of every last hostage held in Gaza.
