We’re not holding our Annual Hope Against Domestic Violence event this year — we know you’re all Zoomed Out — but we need your support more than ever. The Covid-19 pandemic has created stress in all areas of life. And not even the home — the place of sanctuary and refuge — has been spared. The prolonged isolation brought on by stay-at-home measures has fueled a dramatic spike in cases of domestic violence.
UJA-Federation’s Project Hope offers shelter from the storm. During the past year, more than 50 women trapped in abusive relationships have met with the Project Hope social worker and received help with crisis intervention, transportation, emergency housing, legal assistance, and more.
Please support UJA’s Project Hope at one of the levels below so we can continue to keep hope alive. Your generosity is critical to maintaining services to meet a range of victims’ emergency needs, including a social worker specifically trained to work with Jewish victims of domestic violence, a 24-hour hotline, and educational outreach. Victims of domestic violence are depending on us.
