Join UJA's Tech & Venture Capital Division to honor Jon Steinberg, president of news & advertising at Altice, founder and CEO of Cheddar, and former president and COO of Buzzfeed.
The event will feature a conversation between Jon and the founder of Altice, Patrick Drahi, moderated by Aryeh Bourkoff, founder and CEO of LionTree LLC, on the impact and role of media on today's society.
As we celebrate Jon’s achievements in digital media and philanthropy, we'll also pay tribute to UJA's lifesaving work in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Jon is the president of Altice USA News, which encompasses News 12, i24, and Cheddar, and the company's A4 advanced advertising division.
He is the founder and CEO of Cheddar, which Altice acquired in June of 2019. Cheddar News is live 11 hours a day, broadcasting from the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange, its Wall Street studios , and the White House. The network is are available on most streaming services and smart TVs in the U.S.
He was most recently the chief executive officer of DailyMail.com North America, where he grew U.S. revenue 45% and doubled direct advertising revenue.
He joined DailyMail.com from BuzzFeed, where he was president & chief operating officer, responsible for business management, company operations, finance, and social advertising operations from 2010 to 2014. Under his leadership, BuzzFeed became a global and profitable social advertising business working with over half of the top 100 brands. He grew the company from 15 employees to over 500. Steinberg was named one of Advertising Age’s Media Mavens and 40 Under 40.
Steinberg was previously strategic partner development manager on Google’s SMB (small medium business) partnerships team. As a high schooler, he was an intern in Walt Disney Imagineering’s research and development group.
Steinberg is a graduate of Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and holds an M.B.A. from Columbia University. He sits on the board of The City, a nonprofit focused on the coverage of New York City government and public affairs. He lives with his wife, two little kids, and cat on New York’s Upper East Side.
UJA’s 2021 Wall Street Dinner Alan C. Greenberg Award recipient, Aryeh is also the founder of Kindred Media, a media strategy and podcast advisory business powered by LionTree, and serves as co-chairman of the board of Ocean Outdoor, a premium digital out-of-home media company.
President of the Board of Altice Europe, Patrick is a global entrepreneur who has been driving innovations while at the helm of five different companies in the media and telecommunications industry.
Michael has more than two decades of experience as an agency executive, digital strategist, and entrepreneur, having served in agency leadership positions at both MDC Partners and WPP.
