UJA Women cultivates a community of leaders, advocates, donors, and doers. Tikkun olam is at the core of our collective power as we address both ongoing and emergent needs.

We are dedicated to UJA’s mission to improve life for Jews everywhere, ensure the Jewish future, and care for New Yorkers of all backgrounds and people in crisis around the world.

Over 24,000 women (about the seating capacity of Madison Square Garden) have chosen UJA because our network’s reach is unparalleled.  UJA Women step in to help strengthen our community — and stay in when they find a community of their own.

OUR IMPACT

  • UJA Women contributed over $52 million to UJA’s 2022 Annual Campaign.

  • Over $20,000 in donations and thousands of period products for New York women in need of menstrual supplies.

  • Nearly $70 million allocated in grants and loans for Covid relief — over and above UJA’s annual allocations. 

  • 18.5 million pounds of kosher food delivered through the Met Council.

  • $3.8 million in emergency cash assistance was distributed to more than 5,000 New Yorkers.

  • More than $16 million in emergency funding provided for humanitarian aid and refugee support since the war in Ukraine began. 

  • 2,000 local Jewish institutions protected through our Community Security Initiative.
