Support the Women's Center at JCH Bensonhurst

Each day over 200 women and children who need help can't access supportive services available at The Marks JCH in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, due to lack of space.

We're meeting the needs of Russian Jewish immigrant women, allowing them to focus on social transition, become proficient in English, and find work through job placement programs. With a holistic approach, entire families will benefit while adapting to life here in a safe, welcoming, and truly nurturing environment.

And we’re investing in adolescent girls who are considered the most vulnerable population in the world. They’re also the most inherently powerful and they can go on to change the world.  They'll support their families and lift entire communities out of poverty. The center will include a designated teen chat room – a safe space for girls to share experiences and find refuge and guidance.

Big problems need big solutions.  We're raising funds to build a center for women and girls and expand the number of clients the JCH can serve every day.  Our goal is to raise $300,000 – and we’re half way there.

With your support, we’ll help families become self-sufficient and feel the Jewish community's nurturing spirit. We welcome donations of any amount.

$5,000 means a single mother can become self-sufficient. It provides social services, including English as a Second Language classes, professional training, and job placement.

$3,600 means one teenage girl can go to the Marks JCH Summer Day Camp for a whole summer.

$1,800 means a child with special needs gets year-round socialization and enrichment classes to help them succeed.

$1,000 means a widowed, homebound Holocaust survivor with a fixed income gets the support she needs.

$500 means an émigré can take a semester’s worth of dance and music classes.

$360 means a child who’s from a single-parent family gets to go to holiday minicamp.

$180 means working single parents get the childcare they need for their family.
