UJA-Federation Thanks Governor Cuomo for New Security Funding
December 19th, 2019

We are grateful to Governor Cuomo for the funding being made available for security at non-public schools and cultural centers, including religious-based institutions. The need could not be clearer, with the highly disturbing rise of anti-Semitism and other hate crimes. New York has more than 2,000 Jewish institutions, and the additional $10 million is critically important to enhancing critical security measures at these institutions,” said Eric S. Goldstein, CEO of UJA-Federation of New York. “Fortifying security requires deep collaboration between the public and private sectors and we are very thankful to Governor Cuomo for his leadership and commitment working to help keep our communities safe.
