Passover for Ukraine

As the war in Ukraine rages on, UJA-Federation of New York and Jewish Funders Network are mobilizing to deliver Passover for Ukraine, which will bring Passover and the embrace of the Jewish community to thousands whose lives have been forever changed.

UJA is leveraging its network to distribute matzah and Passover food to residents still in Ukraine, and organizing communal seders for displaced refugees and heroic volunteers who are helping them in neighboring countries.

UJA and JFN have launched a 1:1 match, in which UJA will match all donations from Jewish Funders Network members up to $1.25 million.

  • $5,000 will cover matzah and other Passover items for 250 Holocaust survivors in Ukraine
  • $10,000 will provide 500 Passover packages to Ukrainian Jews
  • $25,000 will cover 10 communal seders for 20-50 refugees at each seder
  • $100,000 will cover 15 tons of matzah for distribution throughout the region

Even as we continue to support dozens of organizations providing critical humanitarian aid, let’s show the Jewish community they are not alone.

May the people of Ukraine soon taste freedom again.
