Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center, in conjunction with UJA-Federation of New York, is offering a new free virtual tutoring program for children currently in grades 2-5. Potential volunteers will be paired with students in need of academic support, to meet weekly for 30-45 minutes through Zoom. Families will be asked to supply the material to be reviewed during the session.
If you are interested in becoming one of our volunteer tutors, please complete the Volunteer Form. Once the form is received, you will be contacted to set up a virtual interview with a staff member from Sid Jacobson JCC. If you are selected, the JCC will complete a comprehensive background check before your first tutoring session. You will also be supplied with a JCC email address and personalized JCC Zoom account.
For questions, please contact Paul Isserles, Associate Executive Director of SJJCC, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (516) 484-1545, extension 140.
