Tech Volunteers help late tech adopters with a host of tech inquiries. Requests come in two categories: ZOOM-help and A La Carte Tech help. ZOOM-help is anything ZOOM related, from setting up and downloading the application to understanding how to use the mute button, chat box, raise hand feature and more. The A La Carte tech requests can range from email help to downloading and saving photos to navigating YouTube and more! Most older adults are looking for help using a smart phone but there are also requests for assistance with ipads and laptops.
Commit to weekly activities for three months by responding to weekly e-mails and selecting the opportunities that interest you and fit your schedule. The first step in becoming a Tech Volunteer is to attend a DOROT orientation which can be scheduled using this link.
