Join us for an informative discussion with Jennie Monness, parent and child educator and co-founder of Union Square Play. Jennie will be in conversation with Leya Kaufman, and together they will share invaluable tools for maintaining calm amid moments of dysregulation, how to balance working and mothering, and reflections on parenting post October 7.

Before and after the program, you'll have the opportunity to shop with Whigstock Studio, Phyllis + Rosie, and Timo & Violet. Twenty percent of the proceeds will benefit UJA-Federation, so the more you shop, the more good you can do.
 
You’ll also learn more about UJA’s work helping those in need in Israel and fighting rising antisemitism around the globe.

Jennie Monness

Jennie Monness is a parent and child educator and co-founder of Union Square Play, a parenting community and play space that helps make the early years of parenting a little bit easier and a lot more fun.

Jennie began her career in early childhood 12 years ago after receiving her master’s from Teachers College, Columbia University. She’s served as educational director of several early childhood centers, creating programs that used research-based best practices. She has also taught as an adjunct professor for Touro College undergraduate students obtaining their degree in early childhood education.

Leya Kaufman

Leya Kaufman built her career through multichannel brand partnerships. She’s worked in the fashion industry for over a decade and is now the Publisher & SVP of Sales for Coveteur. She’s also a third-generation Holocaust survivor, Jewish activist, Museum of Jewish Heritage Young Friends Council lead, and IYHWIH Board Member.
