We share the grief and outrage of the world in the aftermath of the terror attacks in Paris.

Thanks to funding we provided last January in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo and kosher supermarket attacks, our partners on the ground were able to offer immediate counseling and support to victims.

  • The UJA-Federation-founded Israel Trauma Coalition (ITC) is working with the Israeli Embassy to provide emergency counseling, and ITC-trained therapists were deployed to hospitals in Paris on Friday night.
  • The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee is working with the Psychotrauma and Resilience Unit of the OSE (Oeuvre de Secours aux Enfants), which was developed with our support and today serves all citizens of France.
  • To protect the Jewish community, we are providing additional support to the SPCJ – Service de Protection de la Communauté Juive/Jewish Community Security.

In this time of heartbreak and uncertainty, thanks to you we’ve been able to make a difference when it matters most. May the strength and resolve of the people of France carry them forward through these days of mourning to days of healing.
