Engaging Next Generations
We spark a passion for Jewish life and learning through creative outreach efforts. It’s about engaging the next generation on their terms. So they will write the next chapter in the story of the Jewish people.
We provide essential support to our network of agencies and grantees that provide innovative programs that engage next generations.
Last year, our collective impact helped provide:
- 100 teens from Russian-speaking families with their first summer camp experience at Camp B’Yachad.
- 170 teen boys with informal Jewish education groups focused on their needs and interests through Moving Traditions' "The Brotherhood" program.
- Leadership conferences and communal events for 800 teens, families, and professionals through the Jewish Education Project.
- 200 scholarships and merit awards to teens participating in Israel programs through the Israel Experience Center.
- 200 scholarships to students at 35 day schools in New York through the Rose Biller Day School Scholarship Fund.
- 35,000 young Jewish adults from more than 50 countries with their first “organized” trip to Israel through Taglit-Birthright Israel.
- 30,000 college students with Jewish programs at 12 local Hillels.
- 13,000 kids in the former Soviet Union with Jewish educational opportunities in 70 kindergartens, 100 Sunday schools, and 50 early childhood centers.
