As the new academic year begins, join UJA for a virtual briefing to hear from experts who are deeply involved in ensuring the safety and well-being of Jewish students on college campuses in New York.

Our guest speakers will include:

  • Mitch Silber, executive director, and Gregg Popick, director of campus security, at our Community Security Initiative, who will share insights on how their work has enhanced safety measures for Jewish students across campuses.
  • Michelle Greenberg-Korbin, UJA’s campus consultant, who will discuss anticipated challenges and developments on campuses this fall, as well as her work over the summer to support Jewish students.
  • David Dince, director of litigation at the Brandeis Center, who will provide updates on significant cases at universities like UCLA, NYU, and Harvard, and their implications for Jewish students nationwide.
  • Jenna Citron, executive director of Queens Hillel, who will offer a glimpse into the experiences of Jewish students at Queens College and how Hillel is fostering vibrant Jewish life on campus.
  • Dr. Sara Fredman Aeder, vice president, Israel and Jewish Affairs, JCRC-NY, who will review plans from JCRC and their partners to support students, including leveraging its relationships outside of the Jewish community.

The current wave of antisemitism is strong, but we’re stronger. We remain deeply committed — along with you — to stamping out hate, and hope you can join us for this important and timely conversation.
