Every child deserves a shot at success, and especially given the difficulties of the past year, a new school year should be a fresh start no matter a child's background or level of family income. Yet many children from underserved communities start school without the basic supplies they need: paper, pencils, binders, and notebooks. You can help by donating and packing backpacks! A donation of $27 will provide one new backpack full of supplies.
UJA Westchester is proud to work in conjunction with Supplies for Success, an important partner to our network of nonprofits, to ensure that each child has the tools to succeed in the classroom. This fundraiser and packing event will support our Annual Back to School Drive led by our nonprofit partner Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS).
Please register for the packing event and purchase as many backpacks as you can. Grandparents are welcome to join in this mitzvah, too!
Can’t make it, but want to make an impact? Donate here.
