Join UJA’s Heritage Society for an exclusive talk with Major General (res.) Tamir Hayman, the executive director of Israel’s Institute for National Security Studies.

Maj. Gen. Hayman will discuss Israel’s current and future challenges related to the ongoing war on the southern front and the escalating confrontation with Hezbollah in the north. He will offer insights into the ability and limitations of national intelligence to prevent horrific acts of terrorism like October 7 in Israel and September 11 in the United States.

Major General (Res.) Tamir Hayman

Executive Director of the Institute for National Security Studies

Maj. Gen. (res.) Tamir Hayman joined the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) as managing director in 2022 and took over as executive director in April 2024.  Prior to joining INSS, Maj. Gen. (res.) Hayman was chief of the IDF Intelligence Directorate from 2018-2021. During his 34 years of IDF service, Maj. Gen. (res.) Hayman held a wide range of command positions in the ground forces, which included operational combat experience in the security zone in Lebanon and in the Palestinian arena.
