Noah Shufutinsky (aka Westside Gravy), Zehava Tesfay, and Nate Shalev are the next generation of proud, progressive, diverse Jewish leaders who combine their love for Israel with their strong Jewish identities to build and strengthen bridges between Israel and the diaspora.
With antisemitism and anti-Zionism on the rise, it’s so important to hear their message of hope and inspiration and learn how they celebrate their Jewish identity as they connect with people from all over the world and political spectrum to inspire a shared love for Israel.
There will also be a special performance by Westside Gravy as part of this program.
Growing up in a multicultural environment, Noah gained inspiration from a variety of experiences, adding a unique flavor to his West Coast hip-hop origins. The grandson of Mikhail Shufutinsky, Westside Gravy is known for songs that celebrate his Jewish, Russian, and Black identities, including Balagan (2020), Diaspora (2019), and Greatness (2018).
Nate has been working in LGBTQ advocacy for close to a decade and have been involved in hosting events, facilitating workshops, and driving initiatives for LGBTQ women, trans, non-binary communities in NYC.
Born and raised in southern Israel to a family that had made Aliyah from Ethiopia, Zehava serves as a Jewish Agency emissary and leads the delegation of shlichim in New York.
