UJA Westchester and the Young Israel of Scarsdale UJA Campaign invite you to join us for the annual UJA Shabbat with guest speaker Glenn Cohen, former Mossad chief psychologist, fighter pilot, and hostage negotiator. Young Israel of Scarsdale has long supported UJA through its annual campaign, reflecting the congregation’s deep commitment to tzedakah and kehilla.

Glenn Cohen

Former Mossad Chief Psychologist and Hostage Negotiator

Glenn Cohen has had an incredibly distinguished career as an IDF hostage negotiator, former Mossad officer and chief psychologist, Israeli Air Force pilot, and POW expert. 

In the aftermath of the attacks on October 7, 2023, Glenn was directly involved in hostage negotiations, and created the protocols for the counseling of survivors, hostages, and first responders, helping them navigate the psychological aftermath of tragedy. He led the team of psychologists that debriefed all 168 hostages released by October 2025.
