At one of our partner Jewish community centers, the Marion & Aaron Gural JCC, a group of Holocaust survivors arrived for their weekly UJA-funded Chaverim program, feeling deeply distressed by the barbaric attacks in Israel.
Staff social workers welcomed them with open hearts, and together, they recited a prayer for Israel and lit a memorial candle. Students from the Brandeis school then joined the gathering, helping survivors pen heartfelt messages of hope to Israeli soldiers. Read the letters here.
