UJA Action 2
We need your voice now
Our community’s strong advocacy helped pass two critical public safety bills in the New York City Council. Now that progress is at risk: Mayor Mamdani has vetoed legislation specifically designed to protect our schoolchildren.
We know we’ve asked a lot of you, but we must continue to make our communal voice heard. This legislation would help ensure that children, teachers, and other community members can enter schools without fear of intimidation or obstruction.
At a time when concerns about safety remain high for students and families across the city, passing this legislation is crucial.
Our advocacy helped get this bill passed in March; now we need your voice to urge the New York City Council to override Mayor Mandani’s veto. With your support, we can protect the students, teachers, and families that form the backbone of so many communities across the city.
