We invite you to come together and find shared purpose in community right now – like at our next ArtMatters session, where we’ll enjoy lunch and explore Rembrandt’s Moses Holding the Tablets of the Law with art expert Rachel Kalnicki.

Together we’ll examine the masterpiece’s tense and dramatic depiction of Moses lifting the Ten Commandments high above him, as Rembrandt leaves the pivotal next moment to the viewer's imagination. We’ll also hear from Rabbi Menachem Creditor, UJA’s Pearl and Ira Meyer scholar-in-residence, who will relate the artwork to the same moment in the Torah.

You’ll also learn more about UJA’s powerful work meeting the critical moment before us: helping Israelis in the line of fire, securing our New York Jewish institutions, and uplifting struggling New Yorkers.
