UJA Action 2
Protect Our
Schools and Shuls
As antisemitism rises and Jewish institutions face ongoing threats, ensuring safe entry to synagogues and schools is urgent. City lawmakers are considering legislation that would enhance state legislation to help prevent harassment, intimidation, and physical obstruction at the doors of houses of worship and schools.
This proposal would establish clear protections so people can enter religious and educational spaces without fear or interference. It’s about keeping entrances clear and giving the city stronger tools to protect our community’s safety.
Even if you have already contacted your state legislators, we encourage you to reach out to your City Council member as well. This is a separate action focused on New York City, and City Council members need to hear from their constituents directly.
Add your name now and tell your City Council member that our community’s safety matters.
