Israel Now: Picking Up the Pieces

With the war between Israel and Iran over, tensions are still high in Israel — and the needs remain overwhelming as we continue to address the trauma and devastation left in the wake of missile strikes on densely populated cities. For a nation already shattered by the horrors of October 7 — with hostages still held captive in Gaza — the psychological toll is profound.

Drawing on our hard-earned experience, UJA is responding with life-saving support. Our Israel office remains in constant contact with trusted on-the-ground partners, providing real-time updates on the most urgent and emerging needs.

In the immediate aftermath of the missiles from Iran, UJA's board of directors authorized $10 million in emergency funding to help Israel    bringing the total amount of aid UJA has allocated for Israel since October 7 to nearly $200 million.
