We help people in financial distress — whatever their age, whatever their background — get back on their feet, live in safe places, reclaim their dignity, and create economic stability for themselves and their families. Because a web of issues keeps people poor, we tackle them all. Our support provides emergency cash assistance, temporary shelter, access to kosher food pantries and soup kitchens, counseling, and legal advocacy.
We’re also on the cutting edge of service delivery. We’ve created food pantries that use digital technology so clients can choose the groceries they want, taking into account their health needs and cultural preferences. And now, we’re building two community resource hubs in Brooklyn and Queens with a holistic approach to moving people from crisis to stability. With the right support, we can break the cycle of poverty and set people on the path toward self-sufficiency.
With many thanks to our generous donors and network of nonprofits for making all this possible.
