We share a collective commitment to ensure safe, thriving Jewish communities around the world, in crisis and every day. That means being ready in an instant to respond to disasters. It also means standing up to anti-Semitism and the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement on college campuses. In Europe, it means helping small but resilient Jewish communities shape their future, empowering leaders, building infrastructure, and giving grassroots activists the tools to grow their dreams.

The Facts:

  • 2 out of every 3 New York City hate crimes in 2017 targeted Jews.
  • 86% increase in anti-Semitic incidents against American Jews in first quarter of 2017. Up from a more than one-third increase in 2016.
  • 49% of all racist acts in France are committed against Jews, although French Jews represent less than 1% of the population.

Our Impact:

  • 17,000 students participate in activities at 11 college Hillels, including programs that help them combat the BDS movement.
  • $4 million was distributed to promote vibrant, resilient Jewish communities throughout Europe and the FSU.
